Klash Towers Guide

Greetings Kombatants!  The Mortal Kombat mobile 10th Anniversary celebrations kontinue in update 7.0 with the next phase of the remastered Realm Klash game mode is here with the debut of Klash Towers!  Klash Towers is a new way to fight for your realm's dominance, where you fight Towers made by other players to push your Realm towards victory.

The number of Realm Klash game modes has expanded to 3 -> Quick Play, Survivor, and the new Klash Towers.  It’s available to play along with the existing Realm Klash modes, and all 3 can be played independently to earn Kunai Points.  A bonus for this new mode is that you can earn Kunai Points even while you are away from the game from defensive wins!

Tower Management & Phases

Entering the middle yellow portal from the Realm Klash menu reveals the Tower Management menu.  From here, you can see which phase is active and engage in that phase’s activities.  This mode is divided into two phases, the Preparation and Invasion Phases.  Depending on the active phase, only certain options are available.

Preparation Phase

During the Preparation Phase, you’ll make your tower. Instead of using your roster, at the start of each Realm Klash Season, you’ll receive a random collection of cards. These include Characters, Equipment, and Kameos. You use these to assemble your Tower’s teams.

When a Realm Klash season begins, you will get a set number of random cards of Gold & Diamond Characters/Kameos, as well as Rare & Epic Equipment. Within these rarities, you will get a set number of cards from different relative power rankings within each rarity.  This ensures that everyone gets the same number of characters and equipment of similar power levels, but different combinations. You might get lucky and get a character along with their full Brutality or Friendship equipment set.

Making teams for your Tower floors is just like any other mode. Each floor determines which card rarities can be assigned, as well as their Character Levels and Fusion Ranks. This way you don’t have to worry about leveling and upgrading your teams. Plan which floor has your most dastardly teams!  You can also choose to add Modifiers to your Floors as well.  More information about Modifiers and how they work is below.

Tower Talents

Another way to manage your Tower is to assign Tower Talents. This is a completely separate Talent Tree that is used in other game modes and only affects your Defending teams.  Tower Talents can only be edited during the Preparation phase. Feel free to mix it up with a different setup than your main game!

In order to participate in Klash Towers, you must fully assemble your tower and set it as “Ready.” During this phase you can edit and ready/un-ready your tower as often as you’d like.  Good Tower design relies on your knowledge of Character & Equipment combinations that work best together, so seasoned players may have the knowledge edge.

Modifiers

Modifiers can be used to deepen your strategy and create unique battle conditions for the towers you create. Modifiers function exactly like Battle Modifiers often encountered in Event Towers, where they add a new condition or effect to the fight, which can either positively affect the defensive team, or negatively affect the attacking team.

Each Modifier is assigned one of 4 Strength tiers: Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme. These modifiers are assigned to floors during the Preparation Phase of a Realm Klash season, just like Characters or Kameos.

                                    Easy                      Medium                    Hard                     Extreme

Each floor has a maximum Weight allowed, which increases per floor. Each Modifier has a Strength or Weight classification. The combination of these two aspects determines the combination of Modifiers on each floor. So long as you are within the floor’s limits, you can assign multiple Modifiers on the same floor.

Modifiers are consumables, so each one can only be used once.  You can use the same one on multiple floors, assuming you have enough in your Kollection.

Modifiers are completely optional. A Tower can be readied without any Modifiers assigned.  When your Tower is readied and the Realm Klash season transitions to the Attack Phase, all Modifiers assigned to your Tower Floors are consumed.

This is where the strategy comes in. Some combinations are only possible on higher level floors, and others are not possible at all.

Modifiers are completely optional. A Tower can be readied without any Modifiers assigned.

Players can acquire Modifier consumables from rare game mode rewards or buy them in the Realm Klash store. The Kollection menu has been updated with a new Modifiers category.

Invasion Phase

The Invasion Phase lets you attack the Towers other players from your rival Realms have made.  If you have not yet Readied your Tower, you can during this phase.

To fight a Tower, simply tap on the Attack button in the Klash Towers sub-menu.  You’ll instantly be matched against a random Tower from an opposing Realm. Because every player got their own "mini roster" to make their Towers with, the roster strengths are comparable, so there’s no need to worry about matchmaking.

Once an opponent is found, you have 1 hour to defeat all 5 floors to the rival Tower. Fighting a Tower is just like a tower in any other mode that has Towers to battle - make a team from your Kollection to challenge the floor in a battle. Health does not carry over to the next floor, and you can edit your team as freely as you’d like before each battle. If you lose, simply try again against that same floor.

Each floor of the rival Tower you defeat earns Kunai Points. If you are only able to defeat some of the floors, but not the entire tower, you still gain Kunai Points for the floors you defeated.  You can also choose to completely abandon your run against this Tower by tapping on the “Escape” button. Regardless of the outcome, there are no post-battle effects on your roster, but it will consume this fight attempt for the day.

Each day, you have a limited number of Attacks you can make against opposing Towers. The number of remaining attacks per day is shown similar to Event Tower fight attempts. If you have a fight in progress, this button shows as “Kontinue” with the time remaining before the opposing Tower fades.  If you have used all of your Free Daily Attempts, you can spend currency to refresh all attempts.  This can be done only a few times each day.

Q&A

What are the rewards from beating a tower?

Realm Klash Progression: You'll earn Kunai Points for defeating rival Towers. These points allow you an additional way to contribute towards your Realm's placement.

Rewards: If you manage to fully defeat a tower, you will also earn some rewards.  These include Blood Rubies and a random Modifier consumable.

How do I earn Kunai Points on offense?

Defeating a single floor earns Kunai Points.  The higher the floor, the more points you earn!  Kunai Points earned from clearing all floors (a Tower VIctory) is worth a significant amount of Kunai Points, on par with or exceeding an entire Elder Survivor run combined (depending on Survivor Team bonuses).

How do I earn Kunai Points on defense?

Your Tower will valiantly defend itself while you are away.

There are two ways you can earn Kunai Points on defense:

  1. Tower Defeated = 25,000
Tower Defeated is when your Tower is fought and fully defeated. This could be thought of like "Participation Points”.
  2. 2 - Tower Survived = 2,000,000
Tower Defeated is when your Tower is fought but is not fully defeated.

How often do Fight Attempts refresh?

Fight attempts reset daily, at the same time other game modes refresh their attempts.

Is there a limit to the number of times we can refresh?

Yes!  A refresh returns all tower attempts, but can be done twice per day. This is similar to the limit on spending to refresh Event Towers before they refresh automatically.

Do our characters get exhausted after beating a tower?

No!  You can freely use any combination of Characters, Equipment, and Kameos when attacking rival Towers. Win or lose has no impact on the team you can use.

When making my tower, what are the rules for each floor?

Each floor determines which Characters, Equipment, and Kameos rarities are allowed.  Their Fusion ranks are then determined by the floor they are assigned.  Different combinations are present for each floor, as explained by the following:
