MK Mobile - Official Patch Notes for Update 6.1

Happy Holidays, Kombatants! Mortal Kombat’s winter update is here, bringing new content and exciting holiday treats. 

New Kombatants

MK1 Smoke

A Diamond-tier martial artist who strikes from the shadows! MK1 Smoke wields smoke grenades and his trusty knife to disorient enemies and deals deadly damage. Add the first-ever Diamond version of Smoke to your roster starting December 16!

Onslaught Sub-Zero

Bring the chill with Sub-Zero's icy support skills. As a key part of your Onslaught team, he weakens foes and sets them up for devastating combos. Complete your Onslaught squad when Sub-Zero arrives in January 2025.

New Kombat Pass Seasons 

Update 6.1 introduces two new Kombat Pass seasons! Get back to the Klassics with Season 17's Klassic Noob Saibot & embrace MK’s secretive character, Kraken Reptile, in Season 18. Ascend these iconic Gold characters to unleash their full potential and access their Brutalities. 

Season 17 will begin on December 18. 

New Friendships & Krypt Equipment

Update 6.1 brings two new Friendship moves based on Mortal Kombat 11. Jam out with Kabal's xylophone in his "Bop It" performance, or keep it “Sofishticated” with Rain's carnival game finisher. The new Friendship Equipment sets can be found lurking within the Krypt!  

Three Towers Return

Your favorite Tower Events are back! Take on the Edenian Tower, Shirai Ryu Tower, and Sorcerer's Tower to earn updated completion rewards. It’s time to gear up, battle bosses, and expand your kollections!

Santa Bo’ Rai Cho Holiday Advent Calendar

The Holiday Advent Calendar returns with gifts from Santa Bo' Rai Cho! Login daily from December 12 to December 25 to receive Dragon Krystals, Characters, Gems, and more festive surprises. Gifts will appear in your player inbox—don’t miss a day! Keep an eye out for holiday sales throughout December as well. 

Krypt Rebalance

• The Krypt has been rebalanced to greatly decrease the time required to complete a Krypt run, especially on the harder difficulties.  All Krypts difficulties are now one floor, with the floor’s size based on the chosen difficulty.  The number of battles, Krypt Hearts, and Fight Rewards have been rebalanced with this update to take into account the new shorter time investment for all difficulties to be on par with the previous version.
• Krypt Badge requirements have been updated to take into account this rebalance.

Note: These changes will go into effect on December 18th when the Krypt refreshes.

Bug Fixes & General Improvements

Characters

• Darkest Knight Noob Saibot – Fixed an issue where Fight Modifiers didn’t affect Noob’s Minion
• MK11 Noob Saibot - Fixed the freezing issue with his Special 2
• MK1 Mileena – Fixed an issue where opponents could perform Specials even if their Power was drained by Primal Fear
• MK11 Jade – Decreased chance for AI MK11 Jade to dodge player's Basic Attacks
• Klassic Movie Johnny Cage  – Fixed several issues that caused errors and opponent idle state when using his Extra Attack
• Circle of Shadow Nightwolf – Fixed an issue where Combo Ender sequences didn’t change after its completion
• MK11 Kabal – Fixed an issue where Stun wasn’t removed from MK11 teammates

Equipment

• Abyssal Wraith’s Nightmare – Fixed an issue where Death Mark was applied after the Vampire effect triggered
• Abyssal Wraith’s Shadow – Fixed an issue where Death Brand wasn’t reset after resurrection
• Sanguine Goddess Killer Clot – Fixed an issue where Blood Orb wasn’t reset after resurrection

UX/UI

• The preview for Store Offers have been updated to contain more detailed information
• A new button was added to the in-game HUD for the Block action. This button can be adjusted in the Setting menu.  The existing finger-tap controls are still available.
• Challenges - The backgrounds for their Main Menu Buttons and the full menu have been updated for all 3 difficulties.
• Post Match - Consolidated XP earned for character and kameos into a single presentation.

Krypt

• New Krypt End Results Badges have been added.  Change up your teams and strategies to find them!
• Camera zoom controls have been updated.  Buttons are now available that replace the previous finger gesture controls.  Tap the + and - buttons to zoom in and out between predefined zoom distances.

Other

• Event Tower Attempts can be refreshed by watching an ad.  The amount of refreshes available is now shown for both spending Souls or watching ads.
• Fixed an issue where characters used their walk animation instead of their dashing animation to get closer to their opponent.
• Fixed an issue where some Trial tasks counted Kameo characters/attacks towards trial progress
• Added the Retrocade and Tea House battle locations to several game modes.
• Updated Class Packs will become available in the Store that provide updated lists of characters.
• Tower of Horror Equipment have been added to Kaskets
