Update 7.1 introduces two powerful additions to the roster, Klassic Nightwolf and MK11 Frost, new Kombat Pass Seasons, new Krypt Equipment, more Finishers, and various updates to improve your overall experience. Check out the details below.
New Kombatants:
KLASSIC NIGHTWOLF
Klassic Nightwolf joins the mobile kast as the next Gold kombatant. Inspired by Nightwolf's first Mortal Kombat appearance in MK3, this shaman warrior battles with his tomahawk, spectral bow, and iconic lightning strikes! During kombat, Nightwolf gains Might and uses it to unleash Spirit Wrath which breaks his opponent's debuff resistance. He also helps his teammates by increasing their Lightning Damage, making him the perfect addition to the Klassic Soaked team. Experience Nightwolf’s klassic fighting style and add this iconic warrior to your roster.
Special Developer Note:
When we started our work on the Klassic Nightwolf we wanted to honor the look of the old school MK3 Nightwolf. The skin is based on MK11 Nightwolf which was manually repainted and remodeled.
Nightwolf's Axe is an original 3D model of the MK3 Axe made from the ground up. We kept the unique shapes of the original axe and tried to make it look realistic when transitioned into 3D. As a special touch we added a green glow, just like in the original MK3.
MK11 FROST
Frost’s mobile debut is finally here with Diamond MK11 Frost! Freeze opponents with her icy arsenal and activate Time Freeze, a chilling mechanic that nearly stops time to give you an upperhand. Frost’s high damage and enemy control make her a great addition to the all-powerful MK11 team. She also introduces a new Elemental Damage type to the game: Ice! Earn MK11 Frost in the top ranks of Realm Klash for a limited time only.

There is a new set of existing Gold Characters that are now Ascendable including Shirai Ryu Takeda, Hat Trick Kung Lao, and Commando Kano. Klassic Nightwolf is available for Ascension as well!

Equip Diamond Fujin, Ascended and Diamond Takeda with their unique set of Krypt Equipment to unleash deadly new moves! Leave your foe on their knees with Takeda's MKX Brutality and go fly a kite with Fujin's MK11 Friendship.
Wind of Memories = Rare Armor
Effects:
- [30%-50%] Opponent unblockable attack chance reduction.
- [40% - 60%] Chance to apply Oblivion on successful Special Attack 2
- [FUJIN] If this is equipped alongside Wind of Rebellion, any DIAMOND Fujin gains the ability to perform a Friendship. Once the opponent’s Health is below 25% and the Friendship bar is filled up by performing multiple Special Attacks, a Friendship can be performed, ending the fight immediately.
- Fusion X: When the user applies Oblivion, they heal 10% of max Health. 3 times per match
Wind of Rebellion = Epic Weapon
Effects:
- [20% - 30%] Chance to steal 2% of opponent's max Power on Basic Attacks.
- Achieving 80%+ on any Special Attack gains Strengthen for 10 sec. Achieving 90%+ applies Death Mark as a bonus for 10 sec.
- [FUJIN] Any successful Special Attack 1 applies Snare for [10 - 20] sec. The wearer’s first 3 Special Attacks per match are 100% Unblockable, and Snare they apply are unresistable.
- [FUJIN] If this is equipped alongside Wind of Memories, any DIAMOND Fujin gains the ability to perform a Friendship. Once the opponent’s Health is below 25% and the Friendship bar is filled up by performing multiple Special Attacks, a Friendship can be performed, ending the fight immediately.
- Fusion X: 15% chance to gain Invulnerability for 5 sec. before any incoming Special Attack and Stun the opponent for 3 seconds after the end of this Special Attack.
Takahashi's Determination = Rare Accessory
Effects:
- [40% - 60%] Basic Attack damage boost.
- Gain Regeneration upon successful tag-out for [2-7] sec.
- [TAKEDA] If this is equipped alongside Takahashi’s Gauntlets, any DIAMOND or ASCENDED Fusion V Takeda gains a 40% chance to perform a Special Combo Ender dealing massive damage. If the last opponent is under 25% health, a Brutality is performed instead of the Special Combo Ender, ending the fight immediately.
- Gain 10% of Max power on each Block Breaker attack
Takahashi's Gauntlets = Epic Weapon
Effects:
- On tag-in gain Sneak Attacks for [10 - 20] sec.
- [30% - 70%] Chance to apply Shield Break for 5 sec. after any Special Attack. If this Special Attack is successful, apply Team Shield Break for 10 sec.
- [TAKEDA] Takeda has [25%-75%] chance to get Luck on Combo Enders for 10 sec. While Luck is active, they apply Curse before any Special Attack.
- [TAKEDA] If this is equipped alongside Takahashi’s Determination, any DIAMOND or ASCENDED Fusion V Takeda gains a 40% chance to perform a Special Combo Ender dealing massive damage. If the last opponent is under 25% health, a Brutality is performed instead of the Special Combo Ender, ending the fight immediately.
- Successful Special Attacks additionally deal 15% of damage to all tagged-out opponents. If any opponent is also affected by Shield Break, Despair is applied on him.

NEW GAMEPLAY FEATURE: ELEMENT ATTACKS
In addition to Fire and Lighting Element Attacks types, we have added Normal, Ice, Magic, Poison and Blood. Take advantage of these new types through a variety of Team Synergies like Klassic Nightwolf Team Passive.
Character's Special and Basic Attacks also received updated element icons to display the elemental types (up to 2 types each).

- Darkest Night Noob Saibot - Raiden Klassic’s on tag-in Power Drain attack no longer ignores Noob’s Synergy Passive that gives tag-in attack immunity
- Darkest Knight Noob Saibot - His passive no longer can trigger at the end of the match
- Dark Raiden - He can no longer tag-in when his X-Ray becomes available if he was removed from play by Kombat Cup Sonya Blade's Red Card Passive
- Klassic Movie Raiden - While his Thunderstorm Energy is active, he no longer takes Lethal damage from Klassic Skarlet’s Gash effect
- MK11 Scorpion - A redundant Meat model no longer appears on top of Scorpion after performs his Special1 with a 90%+ minigame result and MK2 Movie Kitana counters his next basic attack with her Extra Attack
- MK11 Shang Tsung - His healing Passive for defeating an opponent now works against the last defeated opponent of the fight.
- MK1 Shang Tsung - His Basic Combos and standard Combo Enders now alternate in the correct order. This also allows his syringe passive to trigger correctly
- MK11 Skarlet - Her Synergy Passive now mentions it only functions during Blood Rain
- MK1 Smoke - His passive description now better explains how the Ninjutsu cooldown starts and ends
- MK1 Smoke - His Special 2 can now knock out an opponent that is Regenerating during the attack
- Tormented Soul Spawn - His throne is no longer invisible during some of his Victory Stances

CHARACTERS - MK1 MILEENA
- AI Behavior
- She uses Tarkat Hunger more intelligently based on her Health and Power values
- She no longer tags out while Tarkat Hunger is active, and if below 20% Health does basic attacks to try and Vampire health
- She can no longer use Tarkat Hunger in situations the player couldn’t, like while she is stunned or other status effects
- She no longer performs her Special 1 instantly after tagging in
- AI Mileena no longer performs her Special 1 on tag-in while the player’s Kameo Character is active
- Balance adjustments
- Lethal Blow Chance per Disease stack: changed from 2%/1% VS bosses to 3% VS any opponent
- Health % decrease per Disease stack VS bosses: increased from 1% to 2%
- Her Special 2 description now includes the "Grapple" tag/text
- Her character model now updates correctly if Brutalized while Tarkat Hunger is active

- Acid Dragon's Deathly Vial - Fusion X - It can now reflect and drain Power from Klassic Raiden's Power Drain from his tag-in passive
- Augmentation Set - The Triborg exclusive effect text in their descriptions now update correctly when equipped on a Triborg character (color changes to light green)
- Augmentation: Neural Link - Triborg Exclusive - It can now trigger on a forced tag-in
- Augmentation: Neural Link - Triborg Exclusive - The support robot no longer deals damage if the opponent's attack was reflected
- Augmentation: Neural Link - Fusion X - Its description has been updated to include missing info (This effect is Immune to Despair)

Augmentation: Wrist Cannons - Fusion X - Its description has been updated to mention that all debuffed opponents are damaged (instead of only tagged out ones) and unique effects don’t count.

- Varmint's Ace In The Hole - An active Varmint Duel now ends correctly when an Erron Black wearing the Varmint's Ace In The Hole that started the duel is KO’ed by a Kameo Attack. This was preventing the opposing team from being able to tag out.

REALM KLASH
- Stability - Game is no longer unresponsive on a loading screen when starting a match within the last remaining seconds of a Realm Klash Season
- Stability - Fixed instance where Player could access expired Realm Klash seasons
- Survivor Mode - The FIGHT button is now greyed out and a pop up appears when the player’s entire team is defeated and/or their equipment is broken
- Survivor Mode - After using a reroll, the new opponent can no longer be from the same realm as the player
- Quick Play - The player is no longer able to try to Level a Character that is temporarily Fusion X (based on other Fusion X teammates) above Level 50, which caused an Upgrade Error
- Player Accounts now have to be at least Level 30 to participate in Klash Towers
KLASH TOWERS
- Tower Management - Players can now close this side bar by tapping somewhere outside of the bar
- Tower Management - The Ready state is no longer reset if the Tower Talent sub-menu is entered & exited but no changes are made
- Tower Management - Completing Tower Management during the Invasion Phase now warns the Player that it confirms "Ready" is final
- Tower Edit - Game no longer crashes while on the Kameo or Equipment tabs and dragging a card into the wrong menu
- Tower Edit - Card animations are no longer broken if the player leaves the Kameo or Equipment selection menus before an edit animation sequence finished
- Tower Edit - The tooltip for the time remaining for the current active phase now works in this menu
- If the player is in a Klash Towers menu and the Invasion Phase starts:
- If the Player’s Tower was readied before Invasion stage begins, the “Manage" & "Tower Talents" buttons now grey out
- The ”Attack” button becomes available (don’t have to exit and re-enter the menu)
- The Back button or Klash Towers sub-menus menus now transitions to the correct previous menu
- Tower Edit - "Randomize" and "Autofill" buttons have been removed from the Set Defenders Screen
- Tower Edit - Navigation Arrows have been added while viewing Equipment Details, to cycle between them easier
- Pre-Fight Menu - If a character's Stamina is depleted, their card now has the red overlay effect on them specifically and their recovery timer is shown to indicate when this character is usable again

Klash Towers - Difficulty balance adjustments have been made to the Defending Tower’s Floor settings to make Towers a bit easier to battle, especially the first 3 Floors:
- The Attack & Health bonuses for Floor 1 thru Floor 4 have been decreased
- Fusion Levels for Floor 2 Equipment have been lowered slightly
- Balance changes will continue in future updates
UX/UI
- Radio Buttons and Checkboxes now visually look different to tell them apart from each other
- WBG Account - 'Data Connection Required' no longer appears after getting back to the game if a MKM profile was already linked to a WB profile
- Challenges - The Victory presentation for completing a Difficulty now mentioned the correct ones instead of always saying “Normal” and “Hard”, and completing Elder no longer has a Continue button
- Trials - The notification badge now shows its number of rewards for Blood Ruby Packs
- Team Presets - Switching to a Preset without a Kameo no longer retains the Kameo from the previous Preset
- WBG Account - There is now a pop-up on login
- Tutorial - In the Equipment tab redundant tutorial messages no longer appear
- Character Requirement highlighting now only highlights the invalid character instead of the entire team

STORE
- Krypt Store - Krypt Keys can now be purchased for Souls in the Currencies tab for 500 Souls, with a Purchase Limit of 5 per Krypt Season
- Krypt Store - The “new” badge no longer briefly appears when buying a Character, Kameo, or Equipment offer
- Offer Inspection - The Time Remaining for the inspected offer is now shown underneath the Get button
- Offer Inspection - Purchase limit is no longer visually inherited from the first manually opened offer
- Offer Inspection - Challenge Pack does now list Challenge Gold characters instead showing a random Gold character as outcome

- Purchase Menu - The scrollable Premium Plus rewards section now has visual gradients on its scroll edges more noticeable
- The “Complete a Hard Challenge” can now be completed if the final final of an Easy Challenge was skipped
KRYPT
- Krypt - Gateway - Fixed the issues where the Minimum expected hearts reward value was shown as lower than actual values
- Krypt - Gateway - The “Recover” buttons are now correctly centered above their matching Kameo & Character sections
- Krypt - End Results - The Player can no longer see multiple reward descriptions from the Spoils tab by spamming input

- Support Cards - After fully upgrading a Support Card, the Upgrade button now greys out
- Equipment Details - Description window size no longer is different based on the device’s aspect ratio
FILTER/SORTING
- Some Equipment and Characters without Strengthen no longer appear when this Filter is active
- When changing Sort options, the right-most entry in the list is no longer filled with a random duplicate equipment piece

TALENTS
- Talents - Fixed errors and forced Talent Tree Rests for situations where the Player was able to get more than 102 Talents
- Shinnok's Teachings - The chance for Bone Shield chance is now 4/8/12/16/20%
- Focused - This now works for Assist Attacks
- Mantis Stance - Its damage boost now also works against blocked assist attacks
- Opportunist - Is damage boost now also works for assist attacks against Stunned or Frozen opponents
- Special Ending - The game no longer becomes unresponsive after 2 opponents are KO’ed by a mid-fight Brutality. If 2 opponents were defeated with mid-fight Brutalities, after the 2nd one was KO’ed the first KO’ed opponent could tag-in as an idle undamageable state, leading to an unresponsive game. This was most commonly seen using Raiden’s Brutality set.
- Special Ending - The game no longer becomes unresponsive if an opponent with an active Bone Shield tags out while a mid-fight Brutality is performed against them. Characters can no longer tag out during mid-fight Brutalities.
OTHER
- Battle Mode - The game no longer crashes after losing the very first battle in the Battle Mode Tower, or by quitting the battle from the Pause Menu
- Game Modes now remember their last used team. The Player can now switch between Game Modes and no longer need to load a Preset or change their team if they liked what they used last time they played this mode.
- Sellback - The correct amount of Rune Fragments are now given when obtaining multiple copies/sellbacks of the same cosmetic for the first time
- Tower of Time - Floor 31 - The Retrofication Fight Modifier now reduces the Player's damage by 20% for each active Retrofication shield (instead of 30%)
- Torment Effects - Fracture and Bane can no longer be reflected
- Team Presets - Improve behavior to preserve team used in specific game mode when changing modes
- Sneak Attack has been updated to a Kombat Effect, with a unique icon shown while it is active
- Fight Modifier - Retrofication - A Shield is no longer added or broken if the incoming Special is interrupted by a Kameo Attack 2
- Counterattack Effects - Some character and equipment effects can no longer trigger the moment an opposing character starts their Special. Examples are Restless Ninja's Figure, Assassin Jade, MK11 Jade, Klassic Kabal, MK11 Rain
- Elder Challenges - Completion Reward now includes a Kameo of the featured character
- Challenges - The Victory sequence for completing a difficulty no longer congratulates for beating “Normal difficulty” for Hard and Elder difficulties
- Extra Attacks - Some characters can no longer be hit by Basic Attacks during their Extra Attacks

Character & Class Bonuses - Future Realm Klash and Krypt seasons can now feature never before used Characters (i.e. Kenshi, Skarlet, etc.) or new Character & Class combinations (i.e. Jax + Elder God, Mileena + Netherrealm, etc.)
- NOTE: These new options should allow getting the max bonus while using a full synergized team easier
- Quest Mode - Completed Quests no longer always give the minimum value, as shown by a range when starting a Quest
- Stages - Johnny Cage’s Mansion - The Roomie Bot has been added to the background to clean up the inevitable damage all of the fighting will cause
- Ghostface - His character model size has been reduced
