Platforms

If you own the XL pack, Kombat Pack 1, or Kombat Pack 2 and are missing access to some of the characters or content included, please first make sure the characters or other content you are missing has been downloaded.

PlayStation®5

To access and start downloading your add-ons, please follow these steps.

1. In the [Games home screen], scroll to the right and select [Game Library].
2. Select the correct game from your library
3. Scroll down to highlight and select the [Add On] section
4. Select the content that you wish to download or purchase. Scrolling to the right will present a View All option where you can download specific add-ons.

If you've found that some add-on content is not displaying in that menu, there are some other steps you can take to locate add-ons you might be entitled to download.

1. Highlight the game in your PS5 menu or scroll to the right and highlight it in your [Game Library].
2. Press the Options button on your wireless controller and choose [Manage Game Content].
3. In the next screen, you'll see a list of add-on content that you own and which content has been installed so far. Add-ons can be queued up for download by selecting the download arrow icon next to the content you wish to install.
4. If the content has finished installing, you should now be able to see it when you next launch the game.

PlayStation®4

1. Visit the page for your game in your PS4 Home Menu or Game Library.
2. Select the game and scroll down to the “PlayStation™ Store” section at the bottom.
3. From the “Your Add-ons” section, you can manually download individual pieces of released content that you already own, including the latest character.
4. If the content you are looking for is not listed under “Your Add-ons,” you can scroll past this option in the “PlayStation™Store” section of the Game Page and select “View All.”
5. Content that you are entitled to download for free, but do not already own, will be shown here with a cost listed as “Free.”
6. After selecting the content and starting the download, it will be listed under “Your Add-ons,” if you want to download it again in the future.

If after downloading the content if you still cannot access it, or if the content is missing from this menu, please try Restoring your PSN Licenses using the steps from Sony here. After doing this you can then check My Add-ons again to see if this DLC is now available, or check in-game to see whether it is available to use. 

Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X

1. Go to My Games and Apps.
2. Locate your title under the Games section and press the [View] button on your controller (the button with 2 square icons under the Xbox button).
3. Select your game on the right side of the screen with the [A] button.
4. On the drop-down menu where you see the text [All items], press the A button and choose [Ready to Install].
5. Select the available add-on that you wish to install or press [Select all].
6. Highlight Save changes and press the [A] button. This add-on content will be added to your download queue!

If you find that you're still having trouble accessing some add-on content, we suggest giving these steps a try:

1. Fully close/quit out of the game on your console
2. Select Manage game and add-ons -> Uninstall impacted add-ons
3. Settings -> General -> Power mode & startup > Full shutdown
4. Wait a minute
5. Restart Xbox
6. Select Manage game and add-ons > reinstall the impacted add-on content.

Important Note: If you own both MKX and MKXL, you should uninstall both of them before attempting to reinstall MKXL.

Steam

1. Go to [Library] in Steam.
2. Locate the correct title in your list of games, then right-click it and select [Properties].
3. On the DLC tab of the Properties menu, any DLC you own will be listed.
4. Under the "Install" column, a checkbox will show if the DLC has been downloaded and installed.
5. You can check this box to start the download.

If after attempting those steps you do not see the DLC or Add-on content, we suggest exiting the Steam client from the Steam menu and launching it again to check if the content becomes available.

You can also attempt to clear your download cache through these steps provided by Steam Support here.

If the “Install” box for the add-on content is already checked but you still cannot access it in-game, follow these instructions:

1. Open the [Properties] menu for the game in your Steam Library again.
2. Click the [Local Files] tab.
3. From here, select [Verify Integrity of Game Files].
4. After this process completes, check in-game again to see whether you can now access the content you are trying to use.

Available DLC or Add-On Content

Goro Playable Character (Pre-Order Bonus)

Players who pre-ordered Mortal Kombat X gained access to the Goro playable character.

Physical copies included a redeem code voucher inside the game box. For physical purchases of the game, make sure you redeem the codes for the content inside of the packaging. Digital pre-orders received automatic access.

Players who did not pre-order can purchase Goro from their platform store.

In the game, you'll find the Goro playable character selectable under the character selection screen in various modes.

Kombat Pack 1

This includes access to four Playable Character and skin packs. The contents of Kombat Pack 1 are:

• Jason Voorhees Playable Character
• Tanya Playable Character
• Predator Playable Character
• Tremor Playable Character
• Horror Skin Pack
• Klassic Skin Pack 1
• Klassic Skin Pack 2
• Predator/Prey Skin Pack

In the game, you'll find the playable characters and skins selectable under the character selection screen in various modes. For physical purchases of the Premium Edition and Kollector's Edition, make sure you redeem the codes for the content inside of the packaging.
