Krossplay allows players on all supported platforms to matchmake in Ranked Kombat League, Kasual Versus and King of the Hill Online multiplayer matches, invite friends for Private Versus matches, and join public and private lobbies in King of the Hill mode. Krossplay also allows players to view Match Replays, Leaderboards, and Kombat Kard stats across all supported platforms. The Kross-Progression feature in Mortal Kombat 1 allows players to access certain content and progress across all supported platforms.

Krossplay and Kross-Progression are supported for Mortal Kombat 1 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). Please note, Krossplay and Kross-Progression are not available for the Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1.

Players who link their WB Games account to Mortal Kombat 1 will receive a Sub-Zero Announcer Voice. Players can equip their preferred announcer voice under the Video & Audio options in the Settings menu.
How does Krossplay work in Mortal Kombat 1?
Krossplay is an optional feature that is included in Mortal Kombat 1 for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). If a player has the Krossplay feature toggled on by going to [Main Menu > Settings > Online > Enable Krossplay], they can matchmake against other players on any of the supported platforms in Ranked Kombat League and Kasual Versus Online matches, and join King of the Hill lobbies. Players can also coordinate private Krossplay matches or invite friends to King of the Hill lobbies by adding friends to their WB Games friends list. Please note, all players are required to have a WB Games Account linked to the console or PC platform they are playing Mortal Kombat 1 on with the Krossplay patch installed.
How do players manage their WB Games friends list for Krossplay in Mortal Kombat 1?
Players can add friends through the WB Games friends list in-game accessed via the Online Social menu. They can also manage their WB Games friends by clicking here.
I can’t find my friends in King of the Hill on the same platform.
King of the Hill is separated into two groups. Those with and without Krossplay enabled. In order to find people you’re interested in playing with on the same platform please make sure you have the Krossplay setting set similar to the player you intend to matchmake with.
How does the online benchmark test for PC players impact Krossplay?
An in-game message will appear for Mortal Kombat 1 players on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) who do not meet the online benchmark requirement for optimal online play, and they will not be able to partake in online Krossplay matchmaking against players on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. All other online functionality, including Krossplay for private matches or King of the Hill lobbies, will function as normal. Please Note, the online benchmark test is measuring two metrics for optimal Krossplay. One, making sure the game meets the average frames per second minimum. Two, a solid-state drive (SSD) is required for Mortal Kombat 1 players on PC to partake in Krossplay matchmaking.
Note, in the instance where a player does not meet the solid-state drive (SSD) requirement, players on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S will receive a “Slow HDD Detected” message when inviting a player using a hard disk drive PC to a private versus match or King of the Hill lobby. The match will proceed as usual, but players may experience longer load times.
If players using Krossplay are suspected of cheating or using speech that violates the terms of service, how can they be reported?
Players can view their Kombat Kard from the main menu and go to [Online > Social > Players Met] to see a history of the players they’ve competed against. If someone has reason to believe that an opponent violated the terms of service, they can report the violation by highlighting the opponent’s name and pressing the “Report Player” button. When reporting a violation, players can select a report reason and enter text about why they are reporting the player. Please note that moderators will not be able to discuss disciplinary actions taken against other player profiles.

How do players link their WB Games Account in Mortal Kombat 1?
Players can visit the Connection page on the WB Games Account site and link the console or PC platform that they are playing Mortal Kombat 1 on. For Kross-Progression, please note that if a player has played Mortal Kombat 1 on multiple supported platforms previously to linking the accounts, they will have to choose one of the game saves to keep as progress will not consolidate.
When trying to link platform accounts, what should players do if they receive a "Hey We Need Your Help" warning message indicating there is a Mortal Kombat 1 game progress conflict?
After selecting the “Continue” button, players should ensure that the game progress of the correct platform they wish to keep is selected as all other progress will be overwritten. As the warning message states, “any progress lost is not recoverable,” and Customer Service cannot restore progress if it is lost.
If a player selects the wrong console/PC platform game progress and their Mortal Kombat 1 data is lost, can it be restored?
Lost progress/data cannot be restored in this case.
If a player unlinks the platform account they are using to play Mortal Kombat 1 and links it to a different WB Games Account, but does not have their previous progress, can it be restored?
The original Mortal Kombat 1 data is still tied to the previous WB Games Account and can be accessed by linking a platform account with access to Mortal Kombat 1 back to it. Please note, there are limitations for unlinking and relinking platform accounts, and if a WB Games Account is deleted, the game data tied to it will also be lost as it cannot be transferred to a different WB Games Account.
