I have been blind since birth and an iOS user for a while now, and also am learning how to program apps for various systems including iOS. I've found I can use most apps and navigate around them quite successfully. I have also been a skilled MK player over the years (I stopped in 2006 because I wasn't keeping up with the latest consoles so Armageddon was my last game). I would like to see support for VoiceOver and other screen readers come to future updates of MK Mobile and games similar to it. I emailed WB Games Support at the end of last week, and they said developers and people on the game team frequent the forums, and if anyone is willing to work on accessibility, I am more than happy to point them to resources that can help with this. I should mention that I also helped the Discord team to get their app accessible, and I'm grateful for the support they've provided me with. I'm confident this can be done without severely impacting performance or other features, based on the information people have read to me on my screen. For example, the kombat system is already very nice and I have the guides to thank for teaching me that the bottom left corner of the screen is where the special moves are (hearing Scorpion say "Come here!" is sooo satisfying!), and the screens with menus and text (and even the drag and drop parts, like putting the character cards in the slots for quest mode) could be made entirely accessible using VoiceOver without much effort.
If anyone has further questions about specifics, please feel free to reach out! Again I am more than happy to assist if anyone wants to try making the game VoiceOver friendly. Thanks so much for making a great product and I wish all the best moving forward!
